Minister V. Shivankutty has sent a letter to Anurag Singh Thakur, Union Minister of Sports, requesting to hold National School Sports Festival.The Minister’s intervention comes in the context of news that the National School Sports Festival has been cancelled.The Games will be conducted by the School Games Federation of India.In the letter, the Minister pointed out that not holding the National Games would cause a huge loss to the students who had prepared for the Games.The minister said that the students of Kerala are disappointed in this regard.Minister V Sivankutty has requested in the letter that the Union Minister should intervene in this matter and give a proposal to conduct the National School Sports Festival this academic year.
