PSC preliminary examination postponed to February due to COVID-19

The Kerala Public Service Commission (PSC) has postponed the preliminary examination, where Class 10 is the basic qualification, in view of COVID-19.The examination, scheduled to be held in December, has been postponed to February 2021, PSC said in a press release.

Lakhs of candidates take part in each stage of the examination. With the delay in public transport systems returning to normalcy, the PSC has to set up over 2,000 centres to conduct each stage of the examination according to the coronavirus protocol. The examination has been postponed due to difficulties in making such arrangements, PSC clarified.
Meanwhile, UPSA and LPSA examinations will be held in various districts on November 7 and 24. KSRTC units have been directed to conduct services in order to help the candidates reach the examination centres on time.
