NTSE – National Talent Search Examination for students of Standard X
Students of X standard studying in any government or aided school, Navodaya or Central School can now apply for NTSE, a Scholarship examination conducted at the national level. The student should have scored a minimum of 55% marks for his / her IX standard annual examination in subjects other than languages. For SC/ ST students a minimum of 50% marks is enough.
Scholarship amounts: About 2000 scholarships will be given for students who prove their talent in the exam. An amount of Rs. 1250/- will be given at +1, +2 level, for degree and P G an amount of Rs. 2000 every month. For higher studies, amount disbursed shall be according to UGC norms.
EXAM
The exam will be conducted on Dece. 13 and the time allotted shall be 2 hrs. There will be 2 objective papers with 100 questions each. No negative marks will not be there. Students can apply in the site www.scertkerala.gov.in. till November 16. Application fee for general students Rs. 200 and for SC / ST students Rs. 100.
