Noted poet V Madhusoodhanan Nair has bagged Guruvayur Devaswom’s Njanappana Puraskaram for the year 2023.
The award, carrying a cash prize of Rs 50,001, a gold locket, a citation and a plaque, will be presented to Nair at a function to be held at Guruvayur on February 24.
The day also happens to be the birth anniversary of the legendary poet Poonthanam.
According to a release from the devaswom, Nair has been selected for the award for his overall contribution to literature.
