The Kerala government has decided to shut schools amid the surge in COVID-19 cases. The decision was taken in the COVID-19 review meeting held on Friday morning.
According to reports, schools will close for students up to the 9th standard from January 21. Classes will switch to online for students in standard 1 to 9. The decision will be valid for two weeks starting January 21.
Meanwhile, students from class 10 to Class 12 will have offline classes at schools. In the second week of February, an evaulation meeting will be convened to decide on whether to extend the restrictions.
