10,471 persons developed the disease through contact among which the virus source of 952 is unknown. 116 health workers also developed the disease.
23 deaths were also confirmed of Covid-19 on Saturday taking the official death toll to 978. 66,228 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. 7,570 recoveries were also reported in the state.
Among the new Covid cases reported, 40 persons had returned from abroad while 169 returned from other states.
