Kerala reports 5,804 new COVID-19 cases Today. 6,201 recoveries were reported in the state on Friday. 58,221 samples were tested in the past 24-hours. 26 deaths due to COVID were also confirmed by NIV Alappuzha. With this, the COVID death toll in the state touched 1,822.

Among them, 13 are from Thiruvananthapuram, 11 are from Ernakulam, 7 are from Kannur, 5 each are from Pathanamthitta and Kozhikode, 3 each are from Thrissur and Kollam, 2 each are from Palakkad, Kasaragod and Idukki and 1 each is from Kottayam and Malappuram.
There are 77,390 active Coronavirus cases in Kerala while 4,34,730 have recovered. As many as 3,16,923 are under observation. Among them, 2,98,448 are in home/institutional quarantine while 18,475 are in hospitals. 2,130 were admitted to hospitals on Friday.
11 new COVID hotspots were identified in the state on Friday while 15 regions were removed from the list. There are a total of 616 hotspots in the state.
