Kerala reported 5,445 new Covid-19 cases Today, informed a press release from Health Minister K. K. Shailaja.
4,616 persons developed the disease through contact. The virus source of 502 is unknown. 73 health workers also developed the disease.
63,146 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. A record 7,003 recoveries were reported in the state. 24 deaths were also confirmed of Covid-19 on Thursday taking the official death toll to 930.
Among the new Covid cases reported, 55 persons had returned from abroad while 195 returned from other states.

Among the 73 health workers confirmed with Covid-19 on Thursday, 15 each are from Thiruvananthapuram 11 each are from Malappuram and Kannur, 8 are from Pathanamthitta and Ernakulam, 7 are from Kollam, 6 are from Kozhikode, 3 are from Thrissur and 2 each are from Palakkad and Kasaragod.
