Kerala reported 5022 COVID positive cases on Monday, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan during the press conference here. 7469 patients have recovered from the disease in the last 24 hours and 21 deaths have been confirmed.
The district wise distribution of positive cases are – Malappuram- 910, Kozhikode- 772, Ernakulam- 598, Thrissur- 533, Thiruvananthapuram- 516, Kollam- 378, Alappuzha- 340, Kannur- 293, Palakkad- 271, Kottayam- 180, Kasaragod- 120, Wayanad- 51, Pathanamthitta- 32 and Idukki- 28.
4257 people contracted the virus through contact. The source of disease transmission of 647 people is unknown. 59 healthcare workers tested positive for the disease on Monday. 36,599 samples have been tested in the last 24 hours.There are 92,731 active COVID cases in the state currently.
21 deaths have been confirmed in the state. Thiruvananthapuram Idava native Ramabhai (54), Kanjirampara native Indiradevi (66), Punnaykkamugal native Sivaprasad (70), Ernakulam South Vypin native Khadeeja (74), Idakochi native Lakshmi (77), Maliyankara native Sreemathi Prakashan (75), Thuravur native CS Benny (53), Fort Kochi native PS Hamsa (86), Thrissur Ollur native Omana (63), Vadakkekkadu native Khader Khaji (86), Vellarakulam native Abdul Khader (67), Malappuram Areekkodu native Ayishakkutty (72), Anakkayam native Mariyumma (55), Kozhikode Puthoor native Abubakker (65), Meloor native Yasir Arafath (35), Payimbra native Ramakrishnan (73), Vadakara native Shyamala (73), Kannur Alikkode native Claramma Joy (63), Kasaragod Kumbala native TK Soman (63) are the people who were confirmed to have died of COVID on Monday.
