Kerala on Monday reported 4,287 new cases of Covid-19, informed Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.3,711 patients contracted the disease through contact. Among them, the virus source of 471 remains unknown. 7,101 recoveries were also reported.

53 health workers also tested positive for Covid-19. Among them, 14 are from Thiruvananthapuram. 9 are from Kannur, 8 are from Ernakulam, 6 are from Kozhikode, 5 are from Thrissur, 3 each are from Malappuram and Kottayam and 1 is from Pathanamthitta, Kasaragod, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kollam.
There are 93,744 active coronavirus cases in Kerala while 3,02,017 have recovered. As many as 2,83,473 are under observation. Among them, 2,60,675 are in home/institutional quarantine while 22,798 are in hospitals. 2,974 were admitted to hospitals on Monday.
35,141 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. So far, 43,63,557 samples, including those collected from priority groups as part of sentinel surveillance, were sent for testing.
19 new Covid hotspots were identified in the state on Monday while 5 regions were removed from the list. There are a total of 682 hotspots in the state.
