Kerala on Monday reported 3,593 Covid cases.32,489 samples were tested in the past 24-hours. 22 deaths were also confirmed due to Covid by NIV Alappuzha. With this, the Covid death toll in the state touched 1,714.
3,070 persons contracted the virus through contact out of which the infection source of 409 is unknown. 53 health workers were also confirmed with Covid-19.
5,983 recoveries were also reported in the state on Monday. There are 79,410 active cases in the state.
The district-wise statistics of positive cases are: Malappuram – 548, Kozhikode – 479, Ernakulam – 433, Thrissur – 430, Alappuzha – 353, Thiruvananthapuram – 324, Kollam – 236, Palakkad – 225, Kottayam – 203, Kannur – 152, Kasaragod – 75, Wayanad – 50, Pathanamthitta – 43 and Idukki – 42.
The district-wise statistics of contact cases are: Malappuram – 504, Kozhikode – 441, Ernakulam – 298, Thrissur – 417, Alappuzha – 345, Thiruvananthapuram – 224, Kollam – 230, Palakkad – 133, Kottayam – 203, Kannur – 99, Kasaragod – 66, Wayanad – 48, Pathanamthitta – 35 and Idukki – 27.
53 health workers also tested positive for Covid-19. Among them, 18 are from Ernakulam, 11 are from Thiruvananthapuram, 5 are from Kozhikode, 4 each are from Thrissur and Kannur, 3 are from Kollam, 2 each are from Malappuram, Palakkad and Wayanad while 1 each is from Pathanamthitta and Kasaragod.
The district-wise recoveries are: Thiruvananthapuram – 452, Kollam – 454, Pathanamthitta – 147, Alappuzha – 792, Kottayam – 423, Idukki – 49, Ernakulam – 827, Thrissur – 904, Palakkad – 429, Malappuram – 560, Kozhikode – 618, Wayanad – 104, Kannur – 133 and Kasaragod – 91.
There are 79,410 active coronavirus cases in Kerala while 4,08,460 have recovered. As many as 3,16,096 are under observation. Among them, 2,96,208 are in home/institutional quarantine while 19,888 are in hospitals. 1,981 were admitted to hospitals on Monday.
