Among them, 2,433 people contracted the disease through contact. Among them, 61 are health workers. Kerala also reported 11 deaths and 2,111 recoveries on Saturday.
40,162 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. At present, there are 21,800 active coronavirus cases in Kerala, the CM said.
The most number of cases were reported from Thiruvananthapuram with 590. There are 4,451 Covid patients in the state capital.
RTPC test facility is available at 33 labs in Kerala. Among them 23 are government labs while 10 are private. Around 800 government labs and around 30 private labs are conducting antigen and other tests.
