India suffered a setback before the third Test, this player was out of the team.

According to the BCCI, Rahul was injured during practice. KL Rahul injured his wrist during net practice at Melbourne ground on Saturday. However, the injury is considered a setback for the Indian cricket team as they were expected to get a chance in the third match of the Australia tour. In a press note, BCCI Secretary Jai Shah said that Rahul suffered a wrist injury while boating during net practice. The incident took place at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday. It will take Rahul at least three months to recover from the injury.
The 28-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman came to Australia from IPL in superb form. He had mixed performances in the ODI, T20 series. The third Test of the series will be played in Sydney on 7 January, while the fourth and final match will be played on 15 January in Brisbane.
