Kerala reports 5,376 COVID-19 cases Today.

Kerala reports 5,376 COVID-19 cases Today. 60,476 samples were tested in the last 24 hours. The test positivity rate is at 8.89 percent. So far, 63,38,754 samples were tested in different priority groups. 31 deaths were confirmed in the state on Thursday by NIV Alappuzha. With this, the total number of coronavirus fatalities rose to 2,329.

The district wise  positive cases are:
Malappuram – 714, Thrissur – 647, Kozhikode – 547, Ernakulam – 441, Thiruvananthapuram – 424, Alappuzha – 408, Palakkad – 375, Kottayam – 337, Pathanamthitta – 317, Kannur – 288, Kollam – 285, Idukki – 265, Wayanad – 238 and Kasaragod – 90.

The district wise negative cases are:
Thiruvananthapuram – 380, Kollam – 332, Pathanamthitta – 169, Alappuzha – 537, Kottayam – 337, Idukki – 148, Ernakulam – 770, Thrissur – 734, Palakkad – 397, Malappuram – 764, Kozhikode – 629, Wayanad – 97, Kannur – 196 and Kasaragod – 60.

The district wise contact cases are:
Malappuram – 690, Thrissur – 624, Kozhikode – 509, Ernakulam – 335, Thiruvananthapuram – 314, Alappuzha – 381, Palakkad – 221, Kottayam – 331, Pathanamthitta – 225, Kannur – 254, Kollam – 282, Idukki – 220, Wayanad – 222 and Kasaragod – 86.

44 health workers tested COVID positive on Thursday. The district wise cases of COVID positive health workers are: Kozhikode and Kannur – 7 each, Ernakulam and Malappuram – 6 each, Thrissur – 5, Thiruvananthapuram – 4, Idukki – 3, Pathanamthitta – 2, Kottayam, Palakkad, Wayanad and Kasaragod – 1 each.

3,11,237 people are under observation across various districts in the state. Out of this, 2,95,981 people are in home/institutional quarantine and 15,256 people are in hospitals. 1,716 people were taken to hospitals on Thursday.
1 new hotspot was identified in the state on Thursday while 9 areas were removed from the list. In total, there are 473 hotspots in Kerala.
