The source of 424 contact cases could not be traced. 23 deaths have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

3 UK returnees also have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours. So far, 50 UK returnees have tested positive for coronavirus. Their samples were sent to Pune NIV for further tests. Out of them, 6 have been identified as mutant virus strain.

67 health workers have tested positive. Among them, 20 were from Pathanamthitta, 10 from Ernakulam, 6 each from Thrissur and Kollam, 5 each from Palakkad, Kozhikode and Kannur, 4 each from Thiruvananthapuram and Kasaragod, 1 each from Wayanad and Idukki.

Currently, there are 64,236 Covid positive cases in the state. Meanwhile, 7,33,384 people have recovered from the disease. There are 1,98,270 people under observation in the state. Out of this, 1,87,104 are under home/ institutional quarantine and 11,166 people are in hospitals. 1,301 people were taken to hospitals on Friday.
